Solo Moderna is a producer, dj, remixer, bassplayer and multi-instrumentalist in the modern Global Bass or Tropical genre: Cumbia, Afro, Ragga, with sometimes little Balkan fused brass, aswell as Electroswing, Electro/80s/Disco and Balkan Beats. All genres are possible in full night set. New are his experiments in soundsculptures on Modular synths, animation and graphic design.
From his native town of Tilburg, Netherlands he gets inspired by music from all corners of the world and played in clubs, on festivals and residented as guest in radioshows in the Netherlands and around as dj but also with his band, from 3 piece to extendable, depending of the show or situation.
As producer he made 3 albums and the latest happen to be released in december 2019 on French Galletas Calientes Records.
His new creature and timestamp on vinyl called “Republica Moderna” is a vibrant, delightfully upbeat, timeless homage to the world’s musical diversity. It reflects to the needs of a new form of society where people can create, explore and last but not least have fun. Solo Moderna stands for original global madness and an always recognizable unique humorus style. It’s in fact a folky stylefuse produced with nowadays means, but always made with love for music!
